Thomas C. Earl, 93, of Fort Myers, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 following a brief illness. He was born June 12, 1915 in New Orleans, LA and moved to Fort Myers from the Philadelphia, PA area in 1980. He graduated from Tulane University in 1937 where he received his engineering degree. He was a Naval Officer in the Seabees in World War II serving in Guam and The Aleutians. He retired in 1975 from American Water Works Company as the Chief Engineer following 25 years of service. Throughout his lifetime he has always enjoyed sailing. Mr. Earl was the devoted husband of Dorothy K. Earl for the past 66 years who survives him along with two children: Kathleen E. Jackson (Frank A.) of Wheeling, WV and Thomas C. Earl, Jr. (Kathleen) of Cape Coral, three grandchildren: Laura Roberts, David Jackson and Ryan Earl and one great grandson, Andy Roberts.
