Reid Randolph Schaefer, 52, passed away of cancer on May 25, 2008 while in the care of Hope Hospice at Health Park. He was born on April 15, 1956 to Dr. John K. and Esther M. Schaefer.

Mr. Schaefer enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly after graduating high school. He was stationed throughout this country and South Korea. While in South Korea, Mr. Schaefer met the love of his life, his sunshine and wife for over 30 years, Gina Hyon Schaefer. Together they had three lovely children named Crystal Schaefer and John Schaefer and Patricia Melton.

Mr. Schaefer is a proud graduate of Ohio State University where he received his degree in science. He had a very successful career in software development throughout the years but his most substantial success was being a wonderful, loving husband and father. He always lived for his family and we'll miss him dearly.
