Mary Ann Burks, 53, of Fort Myers, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 20, 2008. Born November 7, 1954 in Miami, FL. Mary was energetic, full of life, and a charitable member of the community. Three words come to mind when describing Mary, generous, beautiful and loving. Mary was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fort Myers, and lately was volunteering her time to the Second Chance Boutique, a consigment shop affiliated with her church. Her passion for helping and loving children also led her to contribute a great deal of time and energy to the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida. Happily, Mary was recently able to fulfill her longstanding dream of traveling to Israel. Mary is survived by her parents Mary and Jon Blough; her loving husband of 25 years, Roger Burks; her daughters, Jennifer Rodriguez and husband David, Michelle Grimm and husband Barry, Melinda Veloz, Melisa Windsor and husband Dan; siblings, Manny Gelabert, George Flinton, and Steven Flinton; her ten grandchildren, Allie, Lauren, Kayla, Alyssa, Matthew, Marisa, Anna, Jasmine, Bailey and Caden; and numerous other extended family and friends.
