"Her children arise up, and call her blessed."Joann O'Brian went home to join her family in Heaven on September 8th, 2008. She was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Genevieve Shafer and beloved husband Jack O'Brian. She is survived by her dear sister Shirley (Richard) Davis of Taylorville, Illinois and brothers Joseph (Lan) Shafer of Phoenix, Arizona, James (Linda) Shafer also of Taylorville, Illinois. She leaves her children Patti (Dean) Karampalas of Alpharetta, Georgia and Cameron (Anthony) Seravello of Fort Myers, Florida. She was blessed with grandchildren Lee, Elizabeth, Christina, and Jack and a great-grandchild Walker Sims. 10Joann was born October 10, 1930 in Taylorville, Illinois. She spent her childhood there and married her high school sweetheart Jack C. O'Brian in 1952. She moved to Peoria, Illinois and then to Fort Myers, Florida in 1975. Many lives where touched by this wonderful woman who lived life to the fullest, bringing joy and faith to every person she came in contact with.
